Critics praised the Animation
& Art Style — Toei really cooked on this one. The character designs are
different: taller, more elegant, with a high-fashion runway style. The outfits,
proportions, and especially the shoes are crafted in incredible detail. Many
say this is one of the best art and animation in all of One Piece. The
slice-of-life story feels refreshing — there are no earth-shattering fights or
villains. That’s exactly what makes this special feel fresh and brilliant. The
focus is on Nami, Robin, and the new character Miucha and Lebno. However,
critics also criticized the story for being too short and not strong enough,
and that new characters like Miucha and Lebno were not built up strongly and not
memorable.
Synopsis (spoiler alert!):
I thought this was an illegal One
Piece series made by fans, but it turns out this is an official anime that even
Eiichiro Oda knows about. I think this is a side story set after the Wano Arc,
because Nami already has Zeus in her Clima-Tact. You could say this is One
Piece branching into the world of fashion. The story is short, only about 23
minutes.
It focuses solely on Nami and
Nico Robin, telling the story of Nami who lost her treasured loot because the
shoes she was wearing slipped. Then Nami filed a complaint at the shop that
sold them. It turns out the shop sells a famous brand at that time, Lebno
Listchaque. Nami protested because the design didn’t match her fighting
character. The owner, Lebno, is the one who made the shoes and is assisted by
his assistant named Miucha.
With different ideas and
perspectives from Lebno, Miucha prioritizes comfort in her shoe designs.
Meanwhile, Lebno only focuses on appearance and presentation. Nami realizing
that the decorative materials attached to Lebno’s shoes were jewelry stolen
from her, Nami decided to take them back by pretending to agree to be a model
at an event hosted by Lebno. He made a special pair of shoes for Nami, but Nami
instead asked Miucha to make them because Nami wanted to have fashionable shoes
that could be used for fighting.
With Robin’s help, Nami was
finally able to get back her jewelry that was stolen by Lebno and also destroy
Lebno’s illegal business. This gave Miucha the opportunity to independently
build her own shoe shop.
This anime is not like the
existing anime. Here, Nami and Robin are portrayed as two elegant and
charismatic adult women, truly outside the established One Piece style. It
makes this short film beautiful and valuable. SUGOI!!!
