Additionally, "Hoppers" highlights the importance of maintaining ecosystem balance and cooperation between humans and animals.

"Hoppers" is an entertaining animated film with a dense story and hilarious humor. With an impressive cast of voice actors, "Hoppers" is a must-watch for animation enthusiasts.

This film stars: Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Kathy Najimy, Dave Franco, Meryl Streep and more.

In my opinion:

Animated films always make me happy, as my imagination runs wild. Anything can happen in the world of animation, even the impossible and absurd. This animation is extraordinary, soothing, and reminds us of the importance of animal and plant life. This animation satirizes us as humans, how ambitious and greedy we are, slowly encroaching on their habitats.

Send Help

source: themoviedb.org
Synopsis:

"Send Help" (2026) is a psychological thriller directed by Sam Raimi. The film tells the story of Linda Liddle, a smart but underestimated strategy executive, who is stranded on a remote island in Thailand with her boss, Bradley Preston, after their plane crashes. On the island, they must work together to survive, but psychological conflicts and old grudges begin to surface.

"Send Help" is a unique and captivating film, focusing on psychological conflict and manipulation between characters. Rachel McAdams' performance as Linda is stunning, and Dylan O'Brien as Bradley delivers a solid performance. The film has a dark and intense atmosphere, with some very brutal and disgusting scenes. However, the film also has some drawbacks, such as some scenes that feel inconsistent and excessive. Overall, "Send Help" is a captivating film that leaves an impression, with themes of power, revenge, and trauma.

This film stars: Rachel McAdams, Dylan O'Brien, Edyll Ismail, and more

In my opinion:

Wow, I wouldn't doubt Sam Raimi's filmmaking skills, and in this film, he shows off his unique abilities as a director (of course, the close-up shots of eyes are here too). Honestly, I was fooled several times trying to guess the film's direction. At first, I thought it was a brutal survival film where the main character would be stranded and have to face wild animals and uncivilized tribes. Then, as the story progressed, I thought it would be a romantic comedy, given Linda's clawkish but funny character and Bradley's pompous but clueless nature in the wilderness. But then, I was hit with a surprise – When I thought Linda would try desperately to survive, she turns out become a survival expert, a real-life Lady Tarzan! Oh Sam, where are you taking this story?!

267

source: en.kinorium.com
Synopsis:

"267" (2026) is a psychological thriller with a runtime of 1 hour 59 minutes, released on January 25, 2026. Directed by Jesse Frank, the story revolves around a man who wakes up in a closed room with no clear memory of how he got there. The only clue is the number 267, which keeps appearing on digital screens, walls, and voice recordings.

The film tells the story of a brother and sister who reunite after years apart and uncover a dark secret about one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies. The film has a cold and haunting atmosphere, with psychological tension building up as the story unfolds, particularly with the revelation of patient number 267.

The man starts to realize that the number is not just a decoration, but a symbol of limits, a countdown, and a mental pressure that slowly destroys sanity. The film rejects black-and-white answers, opting for ambiguity that forces reflection. The visuals rely on narrow spaces, symmetrical composition, and monotonous mechanical sounds.

This film stars: Rachel Petsiavas, Franny Titus, Michael James Sewell Jr., Wade Hammond and more.

In my opinion:

Hmm... How to put it? Looking at the poster, I was already skeptical. The title "267" and the poster suggest a psychological thriller, but I've been fooled by posters before. Sometimes a simple poster hides a great film, but this time I'm afraid it's a bit of a mess. The theme of science involving the brain and memory feels heavy. Unless you're someone who really likes thinking deeply, it might be tough. The film seems to want to appear sophisticated with a clever idea, but ultimately falls short.

Scream 7

source: saltypopcorn.co.uk
Synopsis:

"Scream 7" (2026) is a thriller film and a direct sequel to Scream VI, marking the seventh stage in the Scream franchise. Directed by Kevin Williamson, the creator of the original Scream characters, and co-written by Guy Busick, the film hits theaters on February 25, 2026.

Sidney Prescott, now living in the small town of Pine Grove, Indiana, tries to leave her past terrors behind. However, her peace is shattered when Ghostface reappears, targeting her daughter, Tatum, as next victim. Sidney must face her old trauma and stand against Ghostface to protect her family. The film promises the classic Scream vibe with more intense Ghostface terror. The combination of old and new faces in the cast adds to the excitement.

This film stars: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Matthew Lillard, Isabel May, Jasmin Savoy-Brown, Mason Gooding and more.

In my opinion:

Finally, the film I've been waiting for is out. Maybe this is the last saga of Scream, because it could get boring if continued haha. The Scream plot is pretty standard, you know. Personally, what drew me in was the brutality of the killings. And sure enough, the murders in this film are quite brutal. It's a pity Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega aren't part of this film. I heard Melissa was dropped due to her support for Palestine, and Jenna showed solidarity with Melissa and quit. I also heard it took a lot of extra funding to rewrite the story for Scream 7.

Skyscraper Live

source: imdb.com
Synopsis:

"Skyscraper Live" (2026) is a live show on Netflix featuring Alex Honnold, an American free solo climber, as he attempts to climb Taipei 101, one of the tallest buildings in the world, without ropes or safety equipment. The show was broadcast live on January 25, 2026, and lasted for 117 minutes. In this show, Honnold attempts to climb the 101-story building, which has a unique design resembling stacked bamboo boxes. The show also features live commentary from hosts like Elle Duncan and Seth 'Freakin' Rollins, as well as clips of Honnold training and spending time with his family.

Reviews for Skyscraper Live (2026) are mixed. Some critics call it "jaw-dropping" and "engaging", while others feel the show is too monotonous. However, many praise Honnold's bravery and skill in climbing the building. Honnold successfully completed the climb in 1 hour 31 minutes, and was met with thunderous applause from the audience. The show also sparked discussions about safety and risks associated with free solo climbing.

In my opinion:

Wow.. Oh my God.. I'm truly speechless. Alex Honnold is not human, he's a meta-human!! How is it logically possible for him to climb the Taipei 101 building without any equipment? Just hands and feet? This guy is crazy! Alex Honnold is a legend in the climbing world. I admit this is my first time seeing him. He has achieved so much, conquering Half Dome (2008) and El Capitan (2017) in Yosemite National Park, Moonlight Buttress in Zion National Park (2008), and now the Taipei 101 Building.

Broken Bonds

source: movieinsider.com
Synopsis:

"Broken Bonds" (2026) is a crime thriller directed by David Y. Chung and is now available on Tubi. The film tells the story of three barmaids struggling to overcome their personal problems, including domestic violence, medical debt, and financial difficulties. However, one day they stumble upon money from a drug deal. They take it and become targets of a detective with a personal vendetta.

Reviews of the film are mixed, with some critics calling it "disappointing" and "cliché", while others praise the acting and character development. However, overall, the film seems to have the potential to be an engaging movie, especially with themes such as betrayal, loyalty, and the struggle to survive.

This film stars: Ciera Angelia, Bella Chadwick, Robyn Rose, Don Snipes, Marcus Woods and more.

In my opinion:

I have reviewed two Tubi films so far, "Twin" and "How to Lose a Popularity Contest". I can say the results are still tied 1:1, because the second film was better than the first (in my opinion). This time I got another Tubi film, and this one is a crime drama (I prefer calling it crime rather than thriller). I have mixed feelings about this film. The core of the film has several storylines, from a drug dealer trying to quit to a cop who harbors a grudge and acts recklessly.

Hands

source: filmflow.tv
Synopsis:

"Hands" (2026) is an action fight film directed by Justin Kuhn, telling the story of a pair of underground fighters who must prove themselves as the best against cunning rivals and merciless fighters. They must choose between victory and revenge.

Unfortunately, reviews of the film are not too positive, criticizing the unnatural cinematography, lack of substance in the script, and unsatisfying fight choreography. Reviews mention that "Hands" has an '80s-'90s martial arts vibe, but the execution falls short, including a climactic final fight that feels rushed. The focus on female fighters is a plus, but the choreography is just mediocre. Overall, "Hands" is an average action film, not terrible but not great either. If you enjoy martial arts action films, you might watch it.

This film stars: Ashley A. Williams, Tanjareen Martin, Donald Gibb, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and more.

In my opinion:

I now have my own term, I'll call films with many flaws but still watchable as "modern B-movies". When I saw the poster, I imagined an intense fight film. Yeah! Because the poster made me do it. But reality was, hhhh... I'm quite disappointed.

How to Lose a Popularity Contest

source: tv.lk21.com
Synopsis:

"How to Lose a Popularity Contest" (2026) is a romantic comedy directed by Stephen S. Campanelli, premiering on Tubi on January 16, 2026. The film tells the story of two unlikely high school students, Nate Reed, a rebellious student, and Ellie Pearson, a perfectionist, who team up to make Nate the student council president. They form an unexpected alliance and discover unexpected feelings along the way.

Reviews of the film are scarce, but based on the trailer, it seems like a fun and lighthearted romantic comedy. If you enjoy films like "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" or "The Duff", you might enjoy this one!

This film stars: Sara Waisglass, Chase Hudson (Huddy), Graham Verchere, Lillian Doucet-Roche and more.

In my opinion:

Perhaps one of my favorite romance dramas is the one with a teenage romance theme. Yeah, for me, the rebellious and carefree teenage vibe is more appealing than the stiff adult romance life (Just my opinion).

ToxiCity

source: imdb.com
Synopsis:

"ToxiCity" is a drama film directed by Felix Jordan Jr. that tells the story of Corey Spencer, an app developer struggling to overcome his past trauma and balance his life after a divorce. Corey tries to build a romance with Sierra, but things don't go as smoothly as he planned.

This film stars: Zae Diggs, Kia Denis (Kitie Grant), Timmeria Baltimore, Iroko Anyogu and more.

Unfortunately, I haven't found any reviews from credible sources or critics. So, I'll share my subjective opinion after watching this film.

So.. In my opinion:

After previously getting two good drama films, I got another drama film on my desk. Aw man, just from the poster, I started to doubt. Then, why is it titled "ToxiCity"? My assumption was whether it's about a city full of crime or a problematic city, politically for example.

But I am sorry ladies and gentlemen, this is not that kind of film. I didn't get anything crucial from this film. What I watched was just about the profile and daily life. It's true that the main character has childhood trauma, but I felt it wasn't impactful enough in this film. It was just a relapse and didn't really affect the storyline.

Be Happy

source: yallknowwhat.com

The film truly depicts the complexities of human relationships.

This film stars: Tisha Campbell, Russell Hornsby, Mekhi Phifer and more.

In my opinion:

Oh Mary J. Blige... Is this a film from you? One word, OUTSTANDING. Listen, this is the definition of a meaningful and impactful love drama. It's not just about the usual love drama, but this is a different way to make a great love drama film.

The Way to You

source: movie8m.co
Synopsis:

"The Way to You" (2026) is a romantic film directed by Norma Bailey and available on Hallmark Channel.

The movie tells the story of Emma and Conrad, two citizens of NY who agree to help each other find a "lost connection" after a power outage in the subway. As time passes, they start to understand each other and feel something more than friendship. Their search might lead them to love, but not where they expect. Unfortunately, I couldn't find specific reviews about this film. So, I'll give a review based on my own opinion.

This film stars: Kim Matula, Aaron O'Connell, Sarah Luby, Eugene Baffoe and more.

In my opinion:

I won't tire of saying that the ending of romance drama is quite predictable. So, Mrs. Director, what will you offer me this time?
