Synopsis:
Ready or Not 2 : Here I Come (2026) is a
sequel to the 2019 horror-comedy film Ready or Not, directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett and with a runtime of 1 hour 48 minutes.
Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace
enters the next level of the nightmarish game. This time she is not alone - her
estranged sister, Faith, joins her. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her
sister alive, and a chance to claim the "High Seat of the Council"
that controls the world. The problem is, 4 rival Le Domas families have joined
forces to hunt her down in order to fight for that throne. The result is
carnage.
If you liked the first Ready or
Not for its horror-comedy blend, creative gore, and badass character, this
sequel gives you more with a touch of sisterhood. Bigger, bloodier, and more
absurd. This film is perfect to watch with a group if you want to laugh while
wincing at the slaughter.
This film stars: Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, Kevin Durand and more.
In my opinion:
I might be disappointed if the lead in this film wasn’t Samara Weaving. I feel she is a perfect fit for portraying this character. This film is a continuation of the first one, as if not given a moment to breathe, Grace has to fight the satanic cult again. This time with her sister, Faith, Grace has to play bloody hide-and-seek once more and survive until dawn.
This is a cool thriller with
great comedic touches. The chemistry between Grace and Faith is very good. It
reflects a sisterly relationship that seems strained but with mutual care for
one another. I like this type of film, where the main character is a fighter
who never gives up, especially since the main character is a woman.
There’s no doubt that the
visuals, audio, and cinematography are good. The story is not complicated and
easy to enjoy. Even without watching the first film beforehand, viewers won’t
have trouble understanding this story. Because this is like level 2 of that
bloody hide-and-seek game. Ready or Not: Here I Come is excellent to enjoy. I
really hope there will be a continuation of this film, because this cult has
not truly vanished. Wunderba!!
For me this one is 8/10.
