"Chef's Kiss" (2026) is
a romantic drama film directed by Adrian Powers, available on Roku Channel
since February 10, 2026.
The film tells the story of
Lauren, an American marketing executive who travels to Tuscany to revitalize
the Russo pasta sauce brand. However, she must work with Mason, a chef who
rejects modern trends, and they slowly find love amidst cultural differences
and cooking philosophies.
The film boasts a beautiful
Tuscany setting, with visually stunning scenery and warm performances from the
actors. But, some critics feel the plot is too generic and lacks originality.
This film stars: Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Tim Robards, Nat Buchanan, Dina Panozzo and more.
In my opinion:
Okay, I'll say it straight: this is a typical romance drama with a culinary and Italian theme. As for the story, you'll likely predict the ending. But to get there, the film starts with the effort to save the Russo family legacy and love becomes an extra bonus in this endeavor.
Apart from the clear audio, what caught my attention is the visuals, showcasing Italy's beauty and great cinematography. Unfortunately, the chemistry between the leads is just okay, nothing special. Despite that, "Chef's Kiss" remains a light, enjoyable film suitable for rom-com and foodie fans.
For me this one is 6.5/10.
