Synopsis:

"The Fairfield County Four" (2026) is a horror film directed by Joshua Brucker, released on February 6, 2026, on Amazon Prime

The film tells the story of four people who disappear while searching for the legend of a werewolf in Fairfield. They record their journey for the web series "The Cryptid Project", but never return. Their cameras are found, and the footage becomes the last evidence of what happened to them.

The film uses a found-footage format, making
the audience feel like they're watching raw footage. Joe Bob Briggs, a renowned horror actor, also stars in this film. Reviews for the film are mixed, with some critics praising Joe Bob Briggs' performance, while others criticize the plot for being too generic.

This film stars: Noah J. Welter, Celeste Blandon, Jake KopronicaJoe Bob Briggs and more.

In my opinion:

I felt nostalgic watching this film. I've seen similar films using the POV concept, like Cloverfield, Paranormal Activity, or Quarantine, where the camera is the main character's personal camera.

It's interesting, but it has its drawbacks. Some viewers might get dizzy from the shaky camera movements and unclear audio. That's to be expected, as the film doesn't have a special set, just the camera held by the main character. I think you understand, right?

I can't comment much on the visuals, audio, and cinematography, as it's like watching a VLOG in YouTube. So I focus on the story. Based on my experience watching Paranormal Activity and Quarantine, the plot builds slowly and gets intense in the last 30 minutes. The wait is usually worth it, as it's really tense.

In Paranormal Activity, the ghost appears and terrorizes Micah and Katie, feeling very real. Same with Quarantine, where the reporter meets the 'cause' of the chaos. All of it kicks off in the last 30 minutes.

In this film (spoiler alert), the werewolf appears and brutally kills the characters. Unfortunately, maybe due to the budget, the werewolf isn't scary enough, even feeling a bit awkward. But honestly, my hair stood on end during the massacre, and the plot twist left me stunned. It's not bad. If only the werewolf was more agile and stylish haha..

For me this one is 6.5/10.
