Twin

Synopsis:

"Twin" (2026) is a 1 hour 33 minute thriller directed by Chris Stokes. The story follows Justine, a woman who has just been released from prison after killing someone, and she plans to replace her identical twin sister, Jordyn, to get the perfect life.

Unfortunately, reviews of the film are still limited, but some viewers feel that the movie is confusing and has an unclear plot. Some also feel that the film has many plot holes and lacks character development.

The film has been available digitally and on Tubi streaming platform since January 23, 2026.

This film stars: Drew Sidora, Jensen Atwood, Chrissy Stokes and more.

In my opinion:

Nope, I don't quite agree that this is a thriller. To me, it's an intense family drama with elements that don't quite support it as a thriller. I'm convinced this is a low-budget film handled by professional filmmakers. Why? There are several things that are pluses and minuses.

On the plus side, I appreciate the director's effort to make the twin characters truly identical. In Hollywood, this would be easy with CGI or makeup, but here they used a stunt double with a similar build, not face. That's why when Jordyn and Justine are in the same scene, only one face is visible. Good effort, you will know it.

For visual, audio, and cinematography are not bad and still enjoyable. The story idea is good, with a surprising reveal at the end.

On the minus side, I feel the dialogue is textbook, with no meaningful improvisation. It feels like watching a TV opera. Actually, the story idea is good; if there were some improvisation, maybe this film would be more exciting. I don't know,i hope it just my feeling.

Why I say this isn't quite a thriller? Is because there's no real tension here. What's there is just curiosity, curiosity about the truth.

Then, I think the casting of Chrissy Stokes as Jordyn's daughter is a bit off. The 1997-born actress doesn't quite fit the role of a young college freshman.

It's a good film, but not good enough for the big screen.

For me this one is 6.5/10.
