Misdirection

Synopsis:

"Misdirection" (2026) is a 1 hour 33-minute thriller film directed by Kevin Lewis

The film tells the story of a married couple, Sara and Jason, who plan a heist. They decide to carry out one last heist at the home of David Blume, a wealthy defense attorney. However, their plan changes when David returns home early, and they find themselves dealing with him, as he has a bigger secret.

The film has received mixed reviews, with some critics praising Olga Kurylenko and Frank Grillo's performances. However, others have criticized the plot for being too generic, slow, and unoriginal.

This film stars: Olga KurylenkoFrank Grillo, Oliver Trevena and more.

In my opinion:

Hmm, haloo Mr. Director, are you sure you didn't mix up the cast? I felt Olga Kurylenko's partner should've been Frank Grillo, not Oliver Trevena. I think there's some real misdirection going on here (haha). And Frank Grillo, oh man... I miss your role as Crossbones in the MCU.

The film's story is quite simple, really – two thieves break into a wealthy man's home, but he has a dark past with one of them. It's actually okay, but the pacing is slow and bland, so the tension doesn't build.

I yawned a few times (haha).

The visuals are also overly dark and dimly lit, making it less engaging. The audio is just okay, but the cinematography isn't bad.

I think the film was rushed, like telling a half-baked story. Despite Olga Kurylenko's good acting, the film lacks appeal in terms of its story.

For me this one is 5/10.
